Elections in Morocco shall take place as scheduled

Moroccan minister of the interior, Ahmed El Midaoui, asserted Wednesday that all the elections in Morocco will take place at the schedules set in accordance with the law.
El Midaoui recalled at the parliament question time that electoral schedules are set by the Constitution and relevant laws and that "neither the government, the minister of the interior, or any other person has the right to set dates for the elections."
The minister of the interior, who stressed the need to abide by the law, said in view of the climate that prevails, whenever any election date is getting closer, a climate marked by some kind of confusion, suspicion or non-observance of the constitutional and legal provisions regulating the elections, "we, in Morocco, as a democratic state, must not cast any doubt on our action, our faith and our commitment to consecrate democracy."
Touching on the honesty of the elections, El Midaoui said all "necessary measures were taken so that the administration observe an effective, objective neutrality" (in the electoral operations).
He called for the efforts of all to prevent elections rigging in order to reach positive results.
The minister voiced his department's resolve to fight all forms of forgery that may mar the elections.
