FAO Director attend COMESA summit

Jacques Diouf, Director of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), takes part in the 6th Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) summit, to be held in Cairo on May 22-23, at an invitation from COMESA Secretariat.
FAO sources said that Diouf would extend invitation to President Hosni Mubarak and other heads of state and government to attend the FAO summit meetings, to be held on November 5-9 at the FAO's venue in Rome.
The FAO summit will focus on followin up the organizations' accomplishments since November 1996.
Egypt will this month receive the rotating one-year presidency of the 6th COMESA session from Mauritius.
