Al-Assad confers with two Lebanese officials
Syria-Lebanon, Politics, 5/10/2001
President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday received Lebanon's Deputy prime minister Issam Fares. Discussions dealt with the latest developments in the region and issues of common interests to Syria and lebanon. Later in the day, the President also received in Aleppo at the Guest Palace, Lebanese former prime minister Omar Karami. Talks dealt with the situations in the region and bilateral relations.
