Moroccan-French committee on security and struggle against organized crime to meet shortly

The Moroccan-French joint committee on cooperation in matters of security and struggle against organized criminality will convene shortly.
The decision was made by the Moroccan and French interior ministers, Ahmed El Midaoui and Daniel Vaillant, said a joint communiqu? released Tuesday evening at the end of the French official's two-day work visit to Morocco.
The two officials also agreed to enhance cooperation in the field of training and exchange of experience and expertise and expressed satisfaction over the two countries' converging standpoints on issues of mutual concern and their shared resolve to work to fulfil the set goals. They also expressed satisfaction at quality of the exemplary cooperation relations existing between the two departments.
The communiqu? recalled that the two officials and their aides held a meeting that probed cooperation in the sectors of security, civilian rescue operations, local communities and movement of persons.
Daniel Vaillant had told reporters in the southern Atlantic city of Agadir after he was received King Mohammed VI that a work group was currently examining questions related to the transit operation of Moroccans settled in France who come back home for summer holidays.
He announced that a meeting will be held shortly to finalize the group's work. He added that all Moroccan-French meetings yield positive results and gains to bilateral relations and that his talks with his Moroccan peer covered security and decentralization issues.
The French official also held a meeting in Rabat with Moroccan minister of Habous and Islamic affairs, Abdelkebir Mdaghri Aloui.
