Al-Turabi's imprisonment term extended

Al-Khartoum criminal court has renewed imprisonment of the leader of the Sudanese People's Congress party Hassan al-Turbai ( an opposition party), besides the leaderships of the People's Congress party who are detained since February until May 19th because investigations are not completed yet.

In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Sahaf( the press) issued on Tuesday, member of the Sudanese defendant said that the judge of the Khartoum criminal court told the defendant commission that on Monday when they appealed to release al-Turabi and his colleagues by a " guarantee," like members of the opposition rally secretariat who were released by the end of April.
