Palestinian baby killed by Israeli shells

Palestinian sources said on Monday that the Palestinian baby ( Iman Hejjo) who is four months old was killed immediately after she was hits by the Israeli shells fired by the Israeli soldiers at Khan Younis camp to the south of Gaza, while her sister (9 year old) was wounded while the two of them were inside the house. More than 20 persons were wounded, with the majority of them were children and women in the missiles bombardment against the camp.

Eye-witnesses said that the Israeli artillery bombardment hit al- khaledeyah school at the camp where several children were wounded and two building were totally destroyed.

In Bethlehem, the Israeli forces backed by tanks broke into Salah town and opened fire at the Palestinian police and fire was exchanged between the Israeli soldiers and the Palestinians near Raheel tomb at the entrance of Bethlehem, while the Israeli forces bombarded Aida and al-Ezza camp.

One Palestinian police man was killed and two other policemen were wounded by the Israeli soldiers fires in al-Khalil to the south of the West bank.

A Palestinian security source said that the Palestinian policeman Murad al-Harrous was killed when the Israeli soldiers opened fire at a Palestinian patrol at al-Somou' village near al-Khalil.

In Toulkarem the Palestinian Hussein Khuder Abu Tammam died because of his wounds of Sunday as the Israeli tanks bombarded the city which falls under the Palestinian self- rule authority. An Israeli source at the divan of the Israeli prime minister said that Israel informed the US administration about the breaking in operation into Toulkarem before implementing it. The source added that the administration of President Bush expressed its understanding for the requirements and reasons behind this operation and for similar operations took place several days ago.
