Jordan's Arab, regional, international relations
Jordan-Regional, Politics, 5/7/2001
The Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb has stressed that his country's Arab, regional and international relations are built on clear grounds and has not any relation built with one side at the expense of another.
During his meeting on Saturday in Amman with the representatives of the Jordanian political parties and vocational trade unions, Abu al-Ragheb stressed Jordan's stand by all its potentials with the Palestinian people, noting that the Jordanian- Egyptian initiative falls to this end.
The Jordanian prime minister added that this initiative gave a strong support to the Arab position and is met with great support from the international community.
Concerning several issues debated by the representatives of the political parties and vocational trade unions relating to public freedoms, resisting normalization and holding people's activities on the occasion of the usurpation of Palestine ( in 1948), Abu al-Ragheb said that any talks about democracy and freedoms should be within the framework of the constitution and the law.
