Beshara denies to have sent reports to any of the Israeli governments about his visits to Syria
Syria-Israel, Politics, 5/7/2001
Azmi Beshara has deliberately denied to have submitted any reports to any of the Israeli governments about his visits to Syria.
In statements to the London- based al-Sharq al-Awsat Beshara said that these lies fall in the framework of distorting the image of Syria and the image of the national trade in the areas of 1948.
He explained that what the Israeli daily Maareve said to this effect is totally rejected, noting that even "the said messages that I have carried from Israel to Syria and vis- a- vis is not true and it did not happen that I had carried any message from any side. This does not mean I am against carrying messages. I, personally do not see a mistake in carrying messages, but the heart of the matter, I did not carry any messages because there are Arab leaders and American and European officials and others who carry these messages."
