Al-Mahdi in an urgent visit to Nigeria

The first deputy for the leader of the Sudanese " Ummah " party Omar Abdul al-Daem said that the chairman of the party al-Sadeq al-Mahdi headed in a private plane to Abouja in an urgent visit from the Nigerian President, that lasted for one day.
In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Anbaa ( news) issued on Thursday, Nour al-Daem added that the Nigerian President asked al-Mahdi to urgently come to Nigeria without setting an agenda for this visit which pertains to the developments of the peace process in Sudan.
Nour al-Daem explained that al-Mahdi met before he left for Nigeria with the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir with the aim of maintaining consultation and understanding on national issues relating to peace in the country.
