Qatar, Israel foreign ministers meet in Washington

Qatar's foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jaber al-Thani and the Israeli foreign minister Shemon Peres met in Washington on Wednesday evening at the request of the Qatari minister.
News reports said that Peres went to the hotel where Sheikh Hamad stays and said he is keen to hear his view points and consultation.
Sheikh Hamad told journalists at the lounge of the hotel " I think that violence will not solve the problem and should be sorted out through the meeting of the two sides at the table of negotiations."
Sheikh Hamad was asked what has been changed and made it possible to convene this meeting and he replied:" Matters have changed drastically. I think the situation is annoying for us now and we are now aspiring to establish peace."
