Egypt, Turkey seek closer economic ties

The Egyptian General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Chairman Mohamed Al-Ghamrawi met with a delegation of Turkish businessmen and investors.
Ghamrawi underlined that joint investment projects between Egyptian businessmen and investors and their Turkish counterparts are the shortest way for promoting bilateral relations.
Turkey contributes to eight joint investment projects worth LE 83 million, he said during his meeting with investors, businessmen, and men of industry representing the Chamber of Industry of the Aegean area, attended by the Turkish Ambassador in Cairo.
He felt that Turkish businessmen and investors are interested in increasing investment and trade between the two countries.
He also referred to facilities that Egypt offers for investors to encourage joint investment.
He also tackled promising projects especially in Toshka and Sharq El-Owainat.
The meeting dealt with opportunities and fields of joint investment especially in the industrial domains.
