Russia for closer cooperation with the Gulf states

Chairman of the foreign committee at the Russian Duma council stressed that his country is intending to maintain a permanent dialogue with the Gulf Cooperation Council states (GCC) and to have regular contacts with this regional blocs which practices a key role in the world economic relations.
In a statement he made in Moscow on Wednesday, the Russian official said that cooperation between Russia and the GCC member states is in compliance with joint interests especially Russian closeness to the Gulf states and its desire to play an effective role in the Middle East.
The Russian official said that dialogue and the exchange of views and coordination with the GCC council will help to establish peace and security in this part of the world.
