One Palestinian killed, 15 wounded in an Israeli attempt to break into Rafah camp

The Palestinian youth Mahmoud Aqel ( 17 year old) was killed and 15 other were wounded when the Israeli forces tried to break into Rafah camp in Gaza on Wednesday morning.
A Palestinian security source said that the Israeli forces tried to break into the Brazil quarters in the city of Rafah between Gaza and Egypt, noting that three Israeli tanks entered the area accompanied by an armored vehicle demolished at least 10 houses at the outskirts of the camp. The Israeli forces went into the territories situated under the Palestinian territories for several meters, while this was described by Palestinian sides as a grave escalation.
A Palestinian source stressed that one Palestinian child was wounded by the Israeli forces fire near Rafah where thousands aggregated at the Israeli incursion site condemning the brutal Israeli aggressions.
Eye- witnesses said that the Israeli tanks destroyed 2 houses and 3 farms and leveled a land of 100 meters depth in Rafah.
Meantime, an official at the housing department at the Palestinian Authority explained that the Israeli forces destroyed by tanks and missiles 490 Palestinian houses in Rafah and Khan Younis during the two past days.
Meanwhile, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon renewed his threats against the Palestinian people and threatened that he still have means to restore back calm.
The Israeli mini security government on Wednesday held a meeting at Ofrah settlement in conclusion of which Sharon stressed that the task of the Israeli forces is to work firmly to halt the Intifada, noting that any political consideration will not limit his attempt to end what he had called violence.
The Minister at Sharon's divan Dani Nafeh considered that leaders and the Palestinian authority members practice what he described as terrorism against Israel and not only " Hamas and the Islamic Jihad."
At the Arab level, the secretary general of the Arab League AL Ismat Abdul Miguid condemned the deployment of the Israeli forces in Gaza, and described this operation as a continuity of the Israeli aggressive policy against the unarmed Palestinian people.
The AL secretary general stressed the need of implementing International legitimacy resolutions especially UN resolutions 242 and 338 as the only way to establish just and comprehensive peace in the region.
