Israeli forces reinforce positions in Shebaa, steal the Roman antiquities
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 5/2/2001

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday continued reinforcing its positions along the border with Lebanon by military vehicles, and simultaneously built runways for its military helicopters at the Shebaa farms area.

Lebanese security sources said that Israeli military trucks and armored vehicles arrived on Tuesday at the line drawn by the UN to the Lebanese borders with Israel.

The sources added that large bulldozers worked for long hours to build trenches before these positions where tanks were placed and directed against the liberated Lebanese territories.

The Lebanese sources added that the main activities registered for the Israeli forces are the installation of runways for the Israeli military helicopters in the occupied Shebaa farms in order to facilitate the process of movement, noting that the runways were built in Zibdin, al-Ramtha and the caves of Shebaa hills On the other hand, the Israeli forces continued stealing the Lebanese soils from Shebaa caves, where Israeli bulldozers were seen carrying the stolen soils into military vehicles which by their turn transport it al-Houla plain to the north of Israel.

The Israeli forces also continues to steal the Roman antiquities from the occupied Shebaa farms and that Israeli warplanes on Tuesday afternoon flew over the western and central sectors of south Lebanon at low altitudes.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese national resistance on Tuesday strongly denounced the annual report released by the US state department against resistance which described resisting the Israeli occupation as a terrorist act. The Lebanese resistance said that such description is an evidence that the US administration has adopted, once again, the Israeli proposals and initiatives.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Beirut the Lebanese resistance noted that the fact- hiding policy pursued by the Israelis and the Americans is no more accepted, nor trusted by others, stressing the difference between the terrorist who practices tortures against unarmed civilians and the resistance man who practices a legitimate right to liberate his occupied lands in Lebanon and Palestine.
