Morocco, Egypt to set up $ 13 mln medical equipment firm

Moroccan and Egyptian businessmen agreed to set up a $ 13-million joint firm for the production of medical equipment.
The firm, to be based in Casablanca, will be set up under an accord concluded recently in Cairo.
The firm will produce medical equipment, using state-of-the art technology. Its products will be sold in Morocco and Egypt as well as in Europe, Ibrahim Jamal Abu Omara, who chairs the Egyptian side at the Moroccan-Egyptian chamber of commerce, said.
