A Jordanian- Turkish agreement

Turkey and Jordan have signed on Monday an executive program for cultural and scientific co-operation for the years 2001 and 2002.
Representing Jordan, the meeting was attended by the secretary of the ministry of planning Abdul Razzaq Bin Hani, while Turkey was represented by its embassy in Amman.
The program includes cooperation in the field of university education, higher studies, between educational establishments and the exchange of information and documents and articles pertinent to the regulations of vocational and public education. The cooperation program between the two countries also state to facilitate works of the cultural centers in the two countries, encouraging the exchange of prints, and the establishments of archive, libraries, the stage and the cinema.
According to a statement by the Jordanian ministry of planning, the program also stated to encourage cooperation between the Jordanian and Turkish news agencies and the exchange of information in the areas of media broadcasting and the use of modern telecommunications technology.
