SyrianÑFrench misunderstanding eliminated

Well-informed French sources told the Orient radio correspondent in Paris on Monday that the French and Syrian sides have stressed that the visit of the French foreign minister Hubert Vedrine to Damascus had put an end to the misunderstanding which erupted during the last three months concerning France's performance during its presidency of the European Union and its ignorance of the ME region to a great extent and also the Euro- Mediterranean partnership conference.
