King Abdullah criticizes Arafat
Jordan-Palestine, Politics, 4/26/2001

The Israeli daily Yadhout Ahronout said on Wednesday that the Jordanian King Abdullah II has strongly criticized the behaviors of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat, noting that if Arafat continues his current behavior, he will find himself again in Tunisia ( where Arafat used to live before the Oslo agreements).

According to the Israeli radio, Arafat added that the heart of the matter is that many sides want to see him ( Arafat) once again in exile in Tunisia.

These statements were mentioned in reports described as top secret and distributed to heads of the Israeli political departments including the prime minister, the foreign minister and the defense minister, in conclusion of the secret talks, the Jordanian King held with the director general of the Israeli defense ministry Amous Yaroun last week.

The reports arriving in Israel said that the recent telephone call held between King Abdullah and Arafat were described as very difficult.
