Saudi crown prince confers with the emir of Qatar

The Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz on Tuesday late night met in Jeddah with the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Thani.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of supporting them as well as general conditions on the Gulf and Arab arenas, especially the cause of Palestine and the occupied Arab territories.

They also reviewed main current events on the Islamic and international arenas.

On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by the deputy chairman of the Saudi national guards lt. Gen. Mutiib Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and the Qatari side by the foreign minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jaber al-Thani.

On Tuesday King Fahd met with the Qatari prince who arrived in Jeddah earlier in the day in a visit to Saudi Arabia which will last for two days.

The visit of the Emir of Qatar comes after the two states signed the final maps for border demarcation between them by the end of March.
