Israel seeks economic talks with the Palestinians

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon said on Wednesday that the foreign minister Shemon Peres and the minister of the Infrastructure Ivigdore Liberman met this week with an official at the Palestinian Authority and discussed with him means of providing water to al-Khalil (Hebron) district and the neighboring " Kreyat Arbaa" settlement, at the request of the settlers in Hebron.
Sharon stressed in a statement to the Israeli radio on Wednesday Israel's desire to hold economic talks with the Palestinian Authority.
