Arafat to visit the US

The Palestinian Authority official for information and culture Yasser Abd Rabbu said on Wednesday that there are US- Palestinian contacts to arrange the visit of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to the White House by the end of this month or the beginning of May ( next month).
In statements quoted on Wednesday by the Israeli radio, Abd Rabbu added that the talks Arafat will hold with the US officials will deal with the explosive situation in the Palestinian territories and means of resuming negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.
