On Mubarak's visit to Moscow

The Egyptian ambassador to Moscow Rida Ahmad Shehata has stressed that the visit of the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to Moscow which will start on April 26 will give bilateral relations a new impetus and will avail boosting higher cooperation between the two countries.
In a statement he made in Moscow on Tuesday, ambassador Shehata explained that this visit aims at unifying efforts in order to find out an outlet from the current crisis in the Middle East. A crisis which may lead to a catastrophe, noting that the ME peace process is doomed to failure and the use of force against the Palestinian people should be halted and the dialogue should be resumed.
He added that discussing the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories will occupy a pivotal importance in the meeting of Presidents Mubarak and Putin, besides discussions of regional issues and bilateral relations.
Mubarak, however, is scheduled to sign during this visit several agreements between Egypt and Russia in various areas, especially in the economic and trade fields.
