On Arafat's visit to Syria

The Palestinian official in charge of the file of the Palestinian- Syrian relations Asaad Abdul Rahman said that developments in the Palestinian territories will stand against the visit of the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat to Damascus by the end of the current month, as it is scheduled.
The Israeli radio quoted Abdul Rahman on Monday as saying that the existence of serious dangers on the Palestinian territories necessitate Arafat's presence and stay in the Palestinian territories and in the position of decision- making, noting that Arafat hopes to fulfil this visit in the very near time.
