Egyptian visa procedure to be eased for Moroccans
Egypt-Morocco, Economics, 4/20/2001
The Egyptian authorities will shortly ease the visa procedure for Moroccans wishing to visit Egypt, Egyptian ambassador to Morocco, Ahmed Amine Fathallah, announced.
Egypt does not require visas from Moroccans holding diplomatic or special passports, the diplomat told Al-Joumhouria daily.
Multiple entry visas are issued in a 24-hour deadline to Moroccan businessmen wishing to visit Egypt, he said, adding that other Moroccan citizens are subject to the principles governing visa procedure, which takes 10 days, the diplomat added.
Al-Joumhouria daily had criticized the Egyptian authorities for the complicated visa procedures applicable to Moroccans, calling for easing such a procedure.
