Metropolitan Museum to return monument to Egypt

Officials of Metropolitan Museum handed over a pharaonic piece of antiquity to Egypt. It was handed over to Egyptian Consul in New York Mahmoud Allam. The piece of antiquity shows an encarved picture of King Seti I, of the Dynasty 19 with Memphis as its capital city.
Egyptologist Jacob van Ryk, a Dutch, has accidently detected that piece in the Metropolitan and reported it to both the officials of the Museum and Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities.
