Morocco, Pakistan denounce Israeli attacks against unarmed Palestinians
Morocco-Pakistan, Politics, 4/17/2001
Morocco and Pakistan have denounced "the terrorist and savage attacks perpetrated by Israel against the unarmed Palestinian people."
Moroccan Prime Minister, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, currently on an official visit to Pakistan, and the chief executive of Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf, have both denounced, at an exchange of toasts during a dinner banquet hosted here Monday in honor of Youssoufi, the terrorist acts perpetrated by the Zionists against the unarmed Palestinian people.
"Morocco denounces the savage attacks perpetrated by Israel against the unarmed Palestinian people, who have no defense means other than their legitimate intifadah," said Youssoufi renewing backing to the Palestinian uprising.
General Musharraf condemned "the terrorist acts perpetrated by the Zionists against the unarmed Palestinian people" and called the Islamic Ummah and all peace loving countries to force Israel to find a fair and lasting solution to the conflict, in line with UN resolutions.
After he renewed Pakistan's unconditional backing to the Palestinian people so that they recover sovereignty over their lands and over Al-Quds Acharif, General Musharraf underlined the efforts made by the late King Hassan II to defend Islamic causes, and in the first instance the Palestinian cause, and voiced appreciation for the initiatives made by King Mohammed VI to defend Al-Quds Acharif and uphold the Islamic world sacred causes.
Youssoufi also hailed Pakistan's "courageous stands" and its unfailing backing to Arab causes.
Youssoufi arrived in Islamabad on Monday on a four-day official visit to Pakistan, at the invitation of General Pervez Musharraf.
