Three messages from Mubarak to Saudi, Kuwaiti and UAE leaders

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will send three messages to King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah the Emir of Kuwait and Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, during his four-day Gulf tour starting tomorrow with a visit to Saudi Arabia.

The three messages deal with the latest developments, and renewable issues of common interest and ways of boosting bilateral relations in the various domains.

These messages come in the context of consultations on issues of common interest to the Arab nation and exchanging views on the axes of Arab action.

Prime Minister Ebeid is expected to brief President Mubarak on the file of talks with officials in the three states.

Ebeid said the tour is an important step on the road towards partnership in development and comes in the context o Egypt's keenness to sustain its Arab moves aiming at boosting Arab-Arab relations.

The Prime Minister said the file of the tour includes many items mainly doubling the volume of soft term loans to be offered by Arab financing funds to Egypt. He said Saudi, Kuwaiti, Arab and Abu Dhabi funds as well as Islamic development bank would start meetings next week for endorsing their plans.

Ebeid expounded the government has submitted its programs to those funds and specified priorities of spending funds on specific projects including building schools, drinking water and lending youths.

Ebeid said the second item in the file of talks would touch on issues to be tackled by the Arab economic conference, which will be held in Cairo next November.

Ebeid added Egypt is preparing an all-out economic file which will be submitted to the Arab economic conference and executive measures for expanding the management of services among Arab countries in the upcoming stage.

The file of talks will deal with expanding the volume of trade between Egypt and the three countries and ways of attracting more Gulf investments to Egypt through getting acquainted with suggestions by Gulf men of finance and businessmen.
