Religious leaders assert: a Kosheh village is a symbol of National Unity

Al-Azhar's Grand Imam Mohammed Sayed Tantawi said that President Mubarak has always aligned with National Unity calling for spreading peace, security and affection between Muslims and Christian who live in one homeland. He added that Muslims and Christians have been constantly in the habit of working together for the interest of Egypt.

This came during a popular meeting held at As-Salem Institute based at Kosheh of Sohaj governorate in Upper Egypt.

After participating in the meeting, Tantawi visited Al-Malak Michael Church where he was received by Patriarch Jabrael Abdul-Massieh along with a number of priests.

The Patriarch on his part, said that Kosheh is a secure and stable village where Muslims and Copts live in harmony, amicability, and security. He added, we always welcome Grand Imam's who is a symbol of tolerance and fraternity.
