King Abdullah calls for Marshal plan for the ME

The Jordanian King Abdullah II has called on the West to invest in the developing countries in the Middle east and to encourage peace via program derived from Marshal plan which permitted to building Europe following the Second World War.
King Abdullah announced in a speech before the national Press club on Wednesday in Washington:" Invest in our countries. I am not talking about aids, I am thinking of the support of the emerging states understand how the world develops and the globalization of the economies."
The Jordanian King who ascended to the throne in his country in February 1999 called on " his friends at the US" to help the ME region to reach peace, stability and prosperity and considered the " Middle East on a Cross- Road."
