Al-Assad's visit to Algeria postponed

The London based al-Hayat daily said in its Wednesday's issue, according to an Algerian sources it described as well-informed that the short visit that President Bashar al-Assad was due to hold to Algiers was postponed until the beginning of May, without giving any justifications for reasons behind the postponement.

The paper quoted another well-informed source that an agreement was made to postpone the visit until the beginning of next May, before President al-Assad will visit Spain on May 2nd.

The paper continued that the Algerian minister of expatriates and the frontal co-operation Abdul Aziz Zeyari will visit Damascus shortly and will discuss with the Syrian officials several political files in preparations for the Algerian- Syrian summit.
