The International Agency of Atomic Energy IAAE on Monday expressed its readiness to resume its activities in Iraq without a delay, noting that only few questions are still awaiting a reply on the nuclear past of Iraq. News reports quoted the director general of the IAAE Muhammad al-Baradii as saying in the semi annual report to the UN Security Council that the agency can not assure that Iraq is actually implementing its obligations to this effect unless it resumes its activities in Iraq without a delay.

Russia received assertions from the Saudi authorities concerning settling the issue of handing the two persons who kidnapped the Russian plane from Turkey to Saudi Arabia in March, according to the rules of the international law. The official spokesman for the Russian foreign ministry Alexander Yakovinko said in a statement on Tuesday that the Russian embassy in al-Riyadh handed the Saudi side several days ago documents prepared by the Russian court on handing Ereshad Arsayev and Deny Magomerzayev who are accused of kidnapping this plane.
