Eleven mummies unearthed in AL Baharia Oases

Egyptian Antiquities expedition working in AL Baharia Oases under Zahi Hawass, the Chief of Giza antiquities has uncovered new 11 mummies in the valley of golden mummies of which three mummies are for children, four for women and four for men.
Hawass said that the mummies date back to the era when Alexander the Great built his tomb in AlBaharia Oasis adding that the mummies which were found intact and in good condition are wrapped in linen cloth.
This brings the number of unearthed mummies to 231 mummies.
Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni will shortly hold a press conference for announcing the new discovery.
