Deir Yassin anniversary massacre

The PLO representative in Britain Afif Safeyah has stated that "Deir Yassin massacre committed by the Zionist gangs against the secure Palestinian people on April 9th, some 53 years ago represents the ugliest massacres that took place in occupied Palestine."

Safeyah added in a party held by the Palestinian representation in London on Sunday evening, in memory of Deir Yassin town massacre which resulted in slaughtering 100 Palestinians of children, women and elderly of the people of the town. A matter which created fears in the people of the neighboring palestinian villages and towns which resulted later in displacing thousands of Palestinians from their houses, villages and farms.

For his part, the Jewish Rabbi in Britain Geoffrey Human said that the massacre provoked terror and fears in the Palestinians and this resulted in their migration and that was intended by Israel by this action.

"Human" also criticized the military power which is being used to oppress the current Palestinian Intifada. He said, it is a terrifying policy, noting:" I do not think that the Israeli force used now complies the volume of the Palestinian Intifada."

On the other hand, the executive director of Deir Yassin organization Daniel Magoun, which supervised the party said that remembering Deir Yassin massacre is a very important matter in the history of Palestine and a certain statue or evidence should be made to commemorate the history of this massacre.
