Mubarak's visit to USA achieves political, economic successes

Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid, in press statements Thursday, said that the visit of President Hosni Mubarak to the United States has realized a big success at all the political and economic levels.

He said that the US Administration and Congress appreciate the leadership of President Mubarak and the role of Egypt, under his leadership, in working for the stability of the Middle East area and realizing peace and development for all its peoples.

On the economic results of the President's visit to Washington, Ebeid said that President Mubarak has given directives for the entry of Egyptian goods to the American market, particularly goods which can compete, and to do our utmost for attracting a larger number of Americans to visit Egypt.

The United States' share of world trade rises to 35 per cent and annual number of American tourists to all parts of the world mounts to fifty million.

Cabinet Ministers who accompanied President Mubarak to Washington will submit detailed reports to the next Cabinet meeting on the political, economic, financial, technological and media results of the visit.
