Arafat to live in Cairo of fears to be assassinated

The Saudi daily al-Watan stated that the chairman of the Palestinian authority Yasser Arafat is preparing to an almost permanent stay in Cairo at the current phase for fears that he will be assassinated.

The paper said quoting Palestinian sources in Cairo that certain Arab leaders recommended Arafat and Palestinian authority leaders to be cautious during their moves inside the self- rule areas and to change continuously their residence, and because of that Arafat is preparing to take this measure.

Al-Watan continued that the Palestinian Authority transported most of the maps, and documents relating to the palestinian- Israeli agreements to Cairo for fears of being taken by Israel.
