Morocco, Iraq sign $ 150 million-worth of exports contracts

Morocco and Iraq, which convened last week in Baghdad the 9th session of their joint commission, have signed $ 150 million-worth of exports contracts, said Morocco's trade, industry, energy and mining minister, Mustapha Mansouri.
The minister, who headed the Moroccan delegation comprising 160 Moroccan businessmen, made the announcement as he was briefing a government meeting on Thursday of the mission. He said he also conveyed to Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, a written message from King Mohammed VI.
The joint commission meeting was an opportunity to enhance bilateral cooperation in finance, economy, oil and transports, he went on.
Meanwhile, two Moroccan chambers of commerce, industry and services signed conventions with the Iraqi industries union. In the same period, Baghdad hosted a made-in-Morocco exhibition with the participation of over 100 Moroccan industrial enterprises.
