Tunis celebrates Bourkeiba's first death anniversary

Tunisia has prepared a full political and cultural program to celebrate the first death anniversary of the founder of the independent state and one of the national liberation movement's symbols. Leader al- Habib Bourkeiba.

Today, the late President Birthplace town al-Manstir will witness an official procession in which the Tunisian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali will recite verses of the holy Koran.

The program which is being held in Tunisia and al-Manistir on Thursday and Friday ( yesterday and today) includes a photograph and document exhibition and a national seminar at the " democratic and constitutional coalition house under the title " the militant march of the late President al- Habib Bourqeiba."

The program also includes several lectures pertinent to historical phases of the late President and concentrated on the ( Bourqeiba's emergence ( 1920- 1934), " the liberation struggle ( 1934- 1956) and " building the state and the Republican system 1956- 1987.
