Morocco-USA, Culture, 4/5/2001

A US congress delegation, comprising 12 members, will visit Morocco this April 7-14 at the initiative of the American committee to support the United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA). The visit means to inquire about Morocco's population actions and identify urgent needs in terms of women health services, illiteracy and women promotion, says a statement of the UN information center in Morocco.

The US congress delegation, accompanied by members of NGOS supporting the UNFPA, will hold meetings with the health minister and the minister in charge of women condition. It will also visit southern regions and visit lasting human development projects
