Cairo: Egyptian demonstrators call on Mubarak to urge Washington to stop its bias to Israel
Egypt-USA, Politics, 4/3/2001

Thousands of Egyptian students at Ein Shams university in Cairo held a demonstration on Monday denouncing the US and Israel and they were prevented by the Egyptian security forces from getting out the university premises into streets.

The demonstrating students who numbered more than 5,000 called on the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak just few hours before his meeting with US President George Bush to invest his current visit in demanding the US administration stop its biased and support to the Israeli oppressive policy against the Palestinians.

The Demonstrators who burnt the American and Israeli flags were prevented from getting out of the university premises, but the security forces which were intensively deployed in the area, prevented them after cordoning them but without trying to disperse their demonstration.
