Mubarak among ten greatest world leaders of the year

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been chosen as one of the world's ten greatest leaders in the 2000 by a Chinese magazine. "President Mubarak is a key player in the Middle East peace process and the Arab World," said the "Brilliant Chinese" magazine Editor-in-Chief. The magazine rated President Mubarak in fourth position after Chinese President Jiang Zeimen, former American President Bill Clinton and Russian President Vladimir Butin who came successively in the first three places.

"Mubarak has ushered in a new era of great achievements in the domain of economic reforms and industrialization for the welfare of his country and people," added chief Editor.

Positions from fifth to tenth were occupied successively by Secretary General of the U.N Kofi Annan,French President Jack Chirac,South Korean President, Palestinian President Yasser Arafat,British PM Tony Blair,President of South Africa Tabo Mbiki
