Egypt, Religion, 4/2/2001
Expatriate Copts stressed their affiliation to Egypt to be an extension of the people that has always been the meeting point of religions siding with peace and endearment. The expatriate Copts issued a historic statement in their meeting in New Jersey in which they voiced support for national unity in President Hosni Mubarak's era.
On the other hand, Copts in Egypt said in a press conference in the cathedral in Abbassiya that Egypt is a paradigm of national unity in Mubarak's time.
They condemned the attempts by some malicious groups abroad to undermine nationality unity in Egypt.
