ONA group improves 2000 turnover by 6.1%

Moroccan holding "ONA" announced a 6.1% growth in its turnover in 2000, from 20.5 billion DH ($ 1.95 million) in 1999 to 21.8 billion DH ($ 2.07 billion).
The growth is ascribed to progress in the mining and supermarkets branches and good performances of major affiliates of the holding.
The group chief-executive officer, Mourad Cherif, also announced the holding will issue bonds for a total value of five billion DH ($ 476 million), in a bid to maintain the group's balance.
The holding has four major affiliates, mining and construction material, agro-food and beverages, supermarkets, tourism and financial activities.
