Al-Assad to visit Sudan

The London- based "al-Quds al-Arabi" on Friday quoted Sudanese official sources as saying that the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will visit Sudan in the coming phase. The sources explained that the meeting which brought together the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashar and President Bashar al-Assad on the sideline of the meetings of the recent Arab summit in Jordan discussed arrangements for the forthcoming visit of President al-Assad to Sudan.
In addition the talks covered strengthening bilateral relations between al-Khartoum and Damascus, as well as reviving trade and economic integration between the two countries and issues pertinent to the Arab- Israeli conflict and the importance of the Palestinian Intifada.
