New Turkish border gate with Iraq

The Turkish Anadolia News agency said on Friday that a new border gate will be opened between Turkey and Iraq, in addition to the border gate of al-Khabour, noting that the aim is to develop bilateral trade relations and avail a smooth rapprochement for Turkey with the Arab states.
The agency added quoting Turkish officials that the Turkish ministries of foreign affairs and the Interior and the office of the army chief of staff have completed security researches and announced their consent to open the new gate, noting that a delegation including the establishments concerned will pay a visit to the region in April to define the place set to install the gate.
