Palestinians celebrate the Land Day, three killed in clashes with Israeli forces

The Palestinians today, March 30 celebrate that 25th anniversary of the Land Day. This year's anniversary comes while the Palestinians are confronted the Israeli attacks.

Three Palestinians were killed on Thursday and tens wounded in the West Bank and Gaza in the confrontation which violently erupted in retaliation to the Israeli bombardment which targeted at night Gaza and Ramullah.

As the Israeli tanks on Thursday were bombarding Abu Seneh quarters in Hebron ( al-Khalil) the mini- Israeli cabinet authorized the Israeli army to escalate its military operations against the Palestinians without consulting the cabinet.

In the course of escalation, the Israeli authorities deployed 10 tanks on the line separating Deir al-Balah and Beit Lahia town in Gaza. The Israeli foreign minister Shimon Peres said that the Israeli army will continue its policy of striking the Palestinian by all means to end their Intifada.

The general security director at the Palestinian Authority Lt. Gen. Abdul Razzaq al-Majeyda said that the Israeli forces are preparing to launch a large- scale attack and to break into the Palestinian area.

The Israeli daily Maareve unveiled a list of Palestinian targets and figures to be bombarded and assassinated.

As the Palestinians said that Thursday's raids against their cities by the Israeli forces marked the beginning of a large scale Israeli aggression which will last for 100 days in an attempt to foil the Intifada, they, on the other hand stressed that the Intifada will continue and that the Israeli raids will not undermine the will of the Palestinians to continue the Intifada in order to end the occupation.

The Palestinian Fatah movement threatened to launch attacks inside Israel if the latter continue its attacks against the Palestinians.

Palestinian medical sources said that the Palestinian youth Muhammad Suleiman Abu Shamma ( 18 year old) was killed on Thursday morning in the confrontation near the Israeli military barrier ( Erez) by the Israeli bullets.

On Wednesday the Palestinian Husam Ghanem al-Karnaz ( 23 year old) was killed when a group of Israeli soldiers opened fire at him under the pretext of approaching an Israeli military position.

The BBC correspondent in Gaza quoted the director general of the " emergency" hospital in Gaza Dr. Mu'aweya Hussein as saying that one Palestinian was killed and tens were wounded in confrontations with the Israeli army. The director of the hospital added that many of those palestinian are strongly wounded and in critical health conditions.

The Palestinian youth, moreover threw an explosive at a position for the Israeli army near Rafah but the Israeli sources gave no mention to casualties. The Palestinian youths also opened fire at an Israel coach while passing near Ramullah.
