The secretary general of the economic unity council Ahmad Jweili said that the first pillar is based on the economic unity agreement between the Arab league (AL) member states, agreed upon by the economic council in its fourth session held on 3.7. 1957 which stated that the Arab states has agreed to maintain a full economic unity among themselves.
