World federation of united cities meets in Casablanca

The executive board of the World federation of twinned Cities held its annual meeting in Casablanca Saturday to prepare for next May's joint congress of the federation and the International Union of Local Authorities (IULA). The Casablanca meeting was attended by France, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Russia, Senegal, Spain, and Tunisia.
The world federation of twinned cities gathers more than 2,000 cities, including some 100 Moroccan towns. It seeks to promote and modernize cities and help them take up the challenges of the new millennium.
