Damascus closes the Syrian cultural center in Mauritania

The Syrian official daily al-Baath said on Sunday that Damascus has closed the Syrian cultural center in Mauritania. The daily added that a decree was issued stating to " end the work of the Syrian cultural center in Mauritania.." The center was established in 1977.
Mauritania is establishing diplomatic relations with Israel. It had refused to implement the Arab boycott decision of Israel which was released by the recent Arab summit in Cairo and also the recent Islamic summit in Doha.
