Arab FM s approve draft communique of Amman's summit

The Arab foreign ministers on Sunday concluded their meetings by endorsing the draft final communique of the Arab summit due to open in Amman tomorrow.
SANA's correspondent in Amman reported that the Arab foreign ministers endorsed the items proposed by the Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara to be incorporated the final communique.
The most important points proposed by al-Shara included reactivating of the Arab boycott of Israel, the need for attending the ordinary meetings to which the boycott head office calls with the aim of preventing any deals with Israel.
The Syrian foreign minister also called for the condemnation of the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian peoples, and the Israeli enormous violations of human rights especially the collective genocide and punishments including the amputation of the Palestinian territories and aggression on its vital national establishments.
Al-Shara called for full Arab solidarity with Syria and Lebanon and for the rejection and condemnation of the recent israeli threats of using force against Arabs.
Among other things the Syrian foreign minister also called on the Arab summit to demand the UN Security Council to prosecute the "Israeli war criminals" who committed massacres against the Palestinians in and outside the occupied territories.
The draft communique reiterates a call for the UN Security Council to provide international protection for the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza strip.
The Arab foreign ministers nominated Egyptian foreign minister Amr Moussa as a candidate to be Arab League Secretary general, succeeding Ismat Abdul Miguid.
As for Iraq, the Arab foreign ministers proposed a call for lifting of the UN sanctions and for UN resolutions to be respected.
They also called for the resumption of the civil air flights with Baghdad, while at the same time, the Arab foreign ministers expressed their respect for the sovereignty and security of the state of Kuwait.
