Mubarak: Egypt denounces Israeli aggression on Palestinian people

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said that he is confident that the coming Arab Summit in Amman, due to open on Tuesday, will help create new Arab order.
President Mubarak, in an interview with Jordanian News Agency "Petra" said that he is also confident that all Arab leaders would rise to the level of the present situation so as to meet the Arab aspirations.
Mubarak urged the Arab leaders to manifest "a spirit of cooperation and solidarity" to explore the best ways to enhance the stature of the Arab nation politically and economically.
President Mubarak said that the Arab leaders would meet on a regular basis "because this will facilitate our mission in clearing the atmosphere and enhancing (inter-Arab) relations."
The Arab leaders will meet in Amman on Tuesday for their first regular gathering During an emergency summit in Cairo last October they agreed to meet on an annual basis.
Asked to assess the Middle East peace ten years after it was first launched, he said: "I cannot say for sure whether Israel is still interested in peace or not. Although we denounce the continuous Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people, we should give the new Israeli government a chance to show and demonstrate its intents towards peace.
